How do I import my blog entries into Facebook

Dave Taylor has a great article describing how to import blog entries or rss feed into Facebook. This will work for a Facebook fan page as well.

Throw away your camera software, and install Windows Live Photo Gallery ... you'll be glad you did

About a year ago, I wrote about Windows Live Photo Gallery, a feature-rich, easy-to-use, free application from Microsoft which helps you manage your pictures. It also makes downloading pictures from your camera a snap. As I have helped others install and use this great application, I realized I needed to work harder to get the word out about it. So read last year's post, then download and start using the Photo Gallery. When you plug in your camera, be sure to choose "import pictures using Windows Live Photo Gallery", rather than your camera software.

Roboform: the coolest thing since TiVo?

Ok, I think the Harmony remote control is really the coolest thing since TiVo, but I'll save that for a future posting.

Anyway, who has to remember more than one password? Well I do, and I'm guessing you might too. I just refuse to use the same password for both my Wachovia.com and MLB.com accounts. But remembering more than one password is tough. That's where Roboform comes to the rescue. Roboform helps by saving "passcards" for each website you have a login/password for. Now when I want to log into eBay, I type "ebay" into the Roboform toolbar, and hit enter ... my browser is redirected to ebay.com, and my username/password are entered automatically.

Roboform offers a free 30-day trial, and a Professional version for $29.95. My wife and I both use it, and believe it's well worth the money. Roboform also offers free backup of your passcards online.

eBay Daily Deal

eBay is offering 4 different items at a time at some bargain prices. In "Woot" fashion, this Daily Deal offers up a new item when one sells out. And to make things even better, shipping is FREE!

There's even an RSS feed you can watch so you don't miss a thing.

Microsoft Office Software for your new PC

A lot of people I know are getting new computers. There are some great deals right now on both desktop and laptop PC's. I recommend taking a look at the Dell Outlet for some real bargains on computers that have been returned to Dell, and refurbished. Dell Outlet

One problem though is that these computers generally do not come with the Microsoft Office suite of software, specifically Word. Most people I talk to use Word all the time, and would miss it tremendously if it wasn't on their new computer. To add that software at the time of purchase often costs between $150 and $200. So here's a solution for you ... Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 from Sam's Club for $81.88. The sale price is more expensive in the store, and I don't know the shipping charge ... but this price under $100 is pretty good. Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007
